Expected Value

With an almost 13,000 card pool, manually grading and looking up TCG Low for each card is a monumental task...not to mention with how fast prices change, this becomes an impossibility.  We use EchoMTG's inventory management system, which uses "TCG Low" to provide value on the Sealed Pool cards.  However, since it doesn't account well for graded cards, we used a manual process for looking up the Prize Pool cards. 

As of 4/29/21 the total EV of the card pool is $251K, which means with 120 players the EV per person simply from opening the cards in their pool (i.e. DOES NOT include EV from prizes) is: $2,093.80

As of 4/29/21, the total EV of the prize pool using best comparable from ebay is $80K, which means with 120 players the EV per person for the prize pool is: 

$665.58

As of 4/29/21, the combined card pool and prize pool EV is $331K, which means with 120 players the EV per person for the  combined card and prize pool is: 

$2,759.39
